2: Supporting the Development
eGBP’s development has been, up to now, funded by Bitcoin Mining Company Ltd.
Raoul and I are extremely enthusiastic about bringing the UK a strong and trustworthy stablecoin. As we got stuck into the discovery phase of the initial work, we realised that to gain FCA regulation in the UK was gong to be hard, with many obstacles to overcome. And not just financial obstacles. It seems we are certain to meet staunch resistance from some corners of the UK financial system. This will not deter Raoul and I from doing our best to deliver the best GBP backed stablecoin on the market. We want citizens around the globe to have GBP as a main trading pair on exchanges.
Bitcoin Mining Company Ltd is a company that Raoul and I work together on, He is chairman and I, the CTO. Raoul has an excellent background in business as an entrepreneur and lover of technology. He playfully calls himself a geek. We have a fantastic relationship and work well together. Raoul is everything you expect from your Chairman, open-minded, altruistic, fair and fun. He has fantastic ideas about business development and some really great contacts in the city (London). To date, Raoul is the main investor and financier of both enterprises we are involved in together.
Myself, I am all about the tech. I live for new technology. That and my amazing daughter of course! I have spent 3 years now working for Bitcoin Mining Company Ltd, conducting research into blockchain systems, mining and business models. In this time, the idea of building a GBP stablecoin became prominent for us. As CTO it is my job to understand and implement a range of services that will compliment what we are trying to do with eGBP.
